Traditional tie dye relies on fast application and fixed patterns. Liquid dye is applied to folded fabric, creating bold but familiar designs with defined edges, limited depth, and muted colors. The outcome is largely decided before the dye ever touches the cloth.

Ice dye is a slower, more deliberate process.

Powdered pigments are placed over sculpted ice and allowed to melt over many hours. As the ice dissolves, color moves gradually through the fabric, separating into subtle tones and layering naturally. The result creates complex, atmospheric color with softness, depth, and movement that cannot be reproduced. Forming a singular composition that exists only in that moment.
