Manali’s second single definitively highlights the band’s improvisational approach. While absent of any structure, it all started off with just two chords and a poem. “Light Within Her Shadow” started to come to life after Jake recorded a very loose idea to a drum machine in one improvised take. Ultimately creating a foundation, that same improvised solo is what is heard in the official release. After multiple remote sessions between Studio 4 and Earthwalker Publishing, we had a song. This is the first studio recording featuring our latest bassist, Matt Mendes.
